Specific goals of PFHT are to create a drive and inhibition for youth to do the right thing as it comes to character.

We want to give young people the chance and opportunity to make the right decisions based on character and integrity.

Goals

  • We want youth to enjoy the freedom that comes with knowing they made the right choices for that future. What do I want to do with my life, and who do I really want to be?
  • Character is not born in individuals, but rather it is formed in individuals. We wish to help shape, albeit even a few teachable individuals to be the person they are meant to be based on making healthy, character-based decisions for their lives.
  • Many a wise person will tell you that living by standards and character will leave you with a legacy of good friends and no regrets.
  • People who succeed in life both personally and professionally have character qualities that were instilled in their youth.
  • We hope to instill character and integrity into the lives of future generations of youth who will always make quality decisions in our community.
  • The Partner's mission is to foster community partnerships to make positive influences in a physical, spiritual, mental and emotional health of life in Northern Lancaster County.

About PFHT

Past Events

Partners For Healthier Tomorrows have done many community campaigns in the past to help instill positive character traits and an anti-drug message to youth. They have had the support of local mayors, school districts, community leaders, local businesses and area churches along the way.

Here is just a sampling of some of the types of projects spearheaded by the Partners For Healthier Tomorrows organization:

  • Relay for life- A sponsored run in support for cancer victims and their families.
  • Character-Trait-of-the-Month: Advertising promotion of seven character traits we feel are important for any youth to aspire to. Community involvement surpassed our expectations.
  • Red Ribbon Week- Banners and ribbons in support of the community's efforts to send out a positive anti-drug message.

Respect Waits Hands

PFHT is proud to introduce it's new campaign called www.RespectWaits.com, an abstinence campaign targeting youth form 13 to 17 years of age in the Northern Lancaster County Region. We have partnered with Davenport Design & Advertising a small firm in New Holland to develop a dynamic website, printed direct mail materials, and a professional logo used throughout. We are going to give away 8 new IPODS to youth who go through the quiz portion of the website. We are also having school assemblies at almost every school in Northern Lancaster County featuring Pam Stenzel, a national recognized speaker on abstinence. After the school assemblies we will give away 6,000 glow in the dark rubber bracelets that advertise the website address and helps to remind them of what they learned.

Future Events

We hope to continue in our long legacy of fostering community partnerships to make positive influences in a physical, spiritual, mental and emotional health of life in Northern Lancaster County.
